Counselling & Psychotherapy

Are you feeling overwhelmed and think therapy might help?

I am a BACP-registered therapist. I offer a safe, compassionate space where I can help you take steps toward positive change.

About Me

I approach the therapeutic relationship with a genuine sense of curiosity, care, and appreciation for what it is to be human.

I’m Oliver. I have an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy (Distinction) and over 20 years of experience in educational and corporate settings across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. My international experience has shaped my understanding of relationships, identity, and emotional well-being across diverse cultural and social contexts, and I would say that it has sharpened my intuition and sense of empathy.

Drawing from extensive theoretical study and personal insight through lived experience, I approach the therapeutic relationship with attunement and responsiveness, holding a space that is open, supportive, and free from judgment.

Alongside private practice, I work with Staffordshire Bereavement and Loss Support Service and have worked as a school counsellor.

In addition to my MSc, I hold a CPCAB Level 5 qualification in Counselling Children and Young People and have completed multiple continuing professional development courses in areas including trauma, neurodiversity, suicide and self-harm, and adverse childhood experiences. I am currently pursuing a further postgraduate qualification in Systemic Family Therapy.

You

You might be grappling with a tangle of emotions—anxiety, sadness, frustration—or facing challenges like relationship problems, family conflicts, or grief. Maybe you feel lost, unable to pinpoint what’s wrong, but you know something needs to change.

I understand how daunting it can feel to start trying to untangle personal emotional issues. Whatever has brought you here, I want you to know that you’re not alone and that there is hope.

Therapy offers a safe, supportive space to feel heard, understood, and empowered. It’s a chance to unpick some of those knots and take meaningful steps forward. My role is to walk with you, offering empathy, structure, and tentative solution-focused guidance as you work on a more harmonious trajectory.

Time and again, I’ve seen countless individuals overcome immense challenges and reclaim their sense of confidence and stability. This has inspired me to believe in your capacity to grow, adapt, and find a better way forward. Together, we can forge a path toward greater resilience, self-trust and lasting well-being.

What I Can Help With

I support clients facing a wide range of mental health struggles, including anxiety, depression, grief, family and relationship issues, identity concerns, life dilemmas, and workplace and career issues. I also work with trauma and the lingering impacts of early negative experiences that may feel like they’ve left a seemingly indelible mark on your life.

You may feel you are unable to fully comprehend your struggle or the reasons behind your distress—and that’s okay—I can really listen to you, help uncover underlying issues, and support you in dealing with them more confidently.

Individual Therapy

I take an integrative, reflexive approach to therapy, grounded in a person-centred philosophy. Every client is unique, and I adapt my approach to meet your needs. Together, we’ll explore challenges, uncover strengths, and develop strategies to help you move forward.

I follow BACP guidelines, including regular supervision and continual professional development, ensuring I provide ethical and effective support.

Couples / Relationships

Relationships can be incredibly challenging, but even in the most difficult dynamics, there is hope. I offer a space to work through conflict, rebuild trust, and strengthen your connection.

With training in Systemic Family Therapy and advanced counselling for children and young people, I’m equipped to help couples and families address awkward dynamics and improve communication.

With over 20 years of living overseas in diverse cultural communities—and as someone in an intercultural marriage—I bring deep empathy and insight into the complexities of intercultural relationships.

Career Professionals & Businesses

I understand the pressure and strain of a demanding professional life. With two decades of experience in managerial and welfare roles, I offer insight into the emotional and practical challenges of high-pressure careers.

With postgraduate qualifications in International Business Management, I combine theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience to offer a well-rounded understanding of workplace dynamics and mental well-being in professional contexts.

Whether you're an individual struggling with work-related stress or an organisation looking to support employee well-being, I offer tailored mental health support that can help foster resilience and balance.
